Centennial Award

On May 7th, 2004 the Birmingham Regional Chamber of Commerce presented Golden Rule Barbeque with the Centennial Award. The Centennial Award is for businesses that have been in operation for at least 100 years. The award was presented by Carolyn Garrity and accepted by Charles Matsos. Golden Rule was established in 1891 and has been in continuous operation ever since. Because the same cooking procedure is used today as was over 100 years ago, the barbeque is just as good now as it was then. It takes time to make to good barbeque, and we've been at it for over 100 years.
