Golden Rule Franchising started a development cycle in 2003 to extended the Golden Rule brand further across the South East. The work-in-progress to modify the prototype has created excitement in the concept that has not been seen in the company since the early seventies.
Since 2003, Golden Rule has opened restaurants across Alabama, as well as in the surrounding states. The average unit store sales for the company has increased with each modification of the prototypical design. The development of a new signage package that results in two types of barbeque concepts has allowed developers to grow in markets with two separate needs; a full service barbeque and steakhouse, as well as the traditional roadside barbeque pit. It is Golden Rule Franchising's goal to continue growing the brand in Alabama, the bordering states of Alabama, and beyond. A Birmingham Business Journal article highlights our early efforts.
